At Garbage Gurus, we believe recycling should be simple, convenient, and accessible.

Through Colorado's Producer Responsibility Program for packaging and paper products, eligible recycling collection is provided at no additional charge under the program. We're proud to help residents of Summit, Park, and Grand Counties participate.

How Colorado's Recycling Program Works

Colorado's Producer Responsibility Program is designed to expand recycling access, improve the recycling system, and help keep valuable materials out of landfills.

Circular Action Alliance (CAA) administers the program on behalf of participating producers.

Under this program, Garbage Gurus provides eligible recycling collection services to participating households in our service areas.

Your Recycling Service

• Recycling collection is generally provided every other week on your assigned collection day.

• A recycling cart is provided for participating customers, with cart sizes available to suit household needs.

• Keep your recycling cart accessible on collection day and follow your assigned curbside or valet collection instructions.

• Check your collection schedule and any holiday or weather-related service announcements.

What Can I Recycle?

Please follow the current Colorado Designated Covered Materials list and Garbage Gurus' local recycling instructions.

Only place accepted items in your recycling cart. Recycling symbols alone do not guarantee that an item is accepted.

Recycling Cart Guidelines

• Set out your cart by the designated collection time, typically 7:00 a.m. for most neighborhoods.

• Keep the lid closed and avoid overfilling.

• Make sure the cart is accessible and not blocked by parked vehicles or snow.

• Secure lightweight materials to prevent windblown litter.

• Follow the approved instructions for preparing and placing recyclables in your cart.

Collection schedules may change during certain holidays or severe weather conditions.
