Art Matters in Summit County, Colorado

What does art do for community and humanity?

“What art does for the community and humanity depends on the art. In my experience, good art in general is supposed to help people have a moment of happiness and lift up their feelings.  For example, I remember one of the collectors of my running horse paintings said on her Facebook page that whenever she looks at my paintings she wants to get out and start running, too. This involvement extends to all kinds of art, including music and more. As the saying goes, art is food for the soul.” – Hooshang Khorasani
