The Garbage Gurus Valet (a.k.a., in-garage, white-glove or VIP) Service is a worry-free option for removing trash, single-stream recycling, glass-only recycling and now food scraps for composting.  Simply transfer your trash, recycling or food scraps from inside your house to the cart(s), tote(s) or bucket(s) in your garage, shed or front porch.  From there, even from behind a closed garage door, Garbage Gurus will dispose of your waste without any other efforts required of you.

 

How does the Garbage Gurus Valet (a.k.a., in-garage, white-glove or VIP) Service work?

Click on Buy Plans and Pricing and "Select" a plan to schedule your service needs online and provide us with details about how to access the cart(s), can(s), bin(s), tote(s), bucket(s) or receptacle(s).  Sharing the access code with us to remotely open the garage or lockboxes to use keys are the most common methods.  If you're wondering, we are bonded and insured.  If you're not comfortable with us entering your garage, that's no problem.  We'll pick up your waste from just outside the garage door or from your front porch according to your preference and instructions.  Next, we add you to the route for the day Garbage Gurus services your area.  A Garbage Gurus handler will drive into your driveway with a small, compacting truck, will gain access to, remove, and empty your waste materials, will return the empty cart(s) to its storage position, and will take two pictures, your empty cart(s) and your closed garage door, and you will receive an email with the pictures informing you that your pick up has been completed.  It's that simple.  When you schedule a recurring pick up, we will repeat that process over and over again until you tell us to do otherwise.

What are the different Valet (a.k.a., in-garage, white-glove or VIP) Services offered by Garbage Gurus?

Two catalogs exist depending on your location and whether or not you are subjected to the new Pay-As-You-Throw (PAYT) laws.  Currently, PAYT affects properties within the town limits of Frisco and Breckenridge.  If PAYT affects your address, then paying for recycling is mandatory if your trash is collected more than once per month and your trash cart size (32 gallon, 64 gallon or 96 gallon) will impact your service costs.

Monthly plans for weekly or biweekly (every other week) service paired up with overflow carts offer the best value.

 

Not everyone needs a regularly scheduled service.  Garbage Gurus offers As-Needed Services are offered in two forms: 1-Time or On-Demand Pick ups.  1-Time Pick ups are one-off services performed on the set scheduled collection day for your area.  On-Demand Pick ups mostly appeal to short term vacation rental (STR) homes interested in removing waste in between guest's reservations and may be scheduled on any day of the week.  With On-Demand Service, you may send your reservation details to Garbage Gurus and we will schedule your pick ups according to your checkout dates.

             ***While Garbage Gurus may accommodate you with On-Demand service in between your bookings if you believe this is in your best interests, we highly advise you to consider a monthly plan with biweekly or weekly service.  If you've been instructed or conditioned to think On-Demand service is a must-have when operating a vacation home, this is not true.  While it is a nice touch, it is an unnecessarily high expense for the minor value it creates.  The founders of Garbage Gurus have been operating a high-volume (70+ bookings per year) 4 bedroom/ 3 bathroom, vacation rental home (sleeps 8) in Breckenridge for the last few years with a routine weekly trash and biweekly recycling service without any issues.  Communication, convenience & capacity are what is important.  Vacationers simply don't want responsibility when it comes to removal, a.k.a. curbside pickup, or to be subjected to overflowing trash.  Guests perfectly understand routine trash and recycling removal schedules and do not expect completely empty trash or recycling carts.  Dropping a closed bag of garbage on top of another bag of garbage and closing the lid takes all of 1 or 2 seconds.  Guests do not care about adding trash to trash or recycling to recycling when they know it will be removed on a set day without their involvement and as long as you have sufficient capacity (multiple carts) to meet expected trash & recycling volumes. 

 

Garbage Gurus will provide you with written content to add to your pre-stay emails, flyers to insert into Welcome Books, stickers to clearly labels carts as Trash, Single-Stream Recycling and Glass-Only Recycling, and posters to hang near carts and totes to reinforce local recycling guidelines and all of the necessary Garbage Gurus details such as What to Expect and When to Expect It.  If you remain unconvinced and are more comfortable with coordinating pick ups according to your reservations, rest assured.  Garbage Gurus will schedule On-Demand Pick ups to conform with your checkout dates.

Friday | Breckenridge (Wellington Neighborhood to the Highlands & north to the High School)

 

New service orders must be received by Garbage Gurus before 11:00 a.m. on Friday to be guaranteed to be added to the route for the following week.

When does Garbage Gurus pick up biweekly trash only service in my area?

​

Your biweekly trash pick up day depends on whether or not you also have recycling service.  If you have recycling service in addition to biweekly trash service, both cans will be emptied according to the recycling pick up schedule.  If you have biweekly trash-only service, your pick up week is on the opposite week.  Biweekly trash only service is not available if your property in inside the town limits of Breckenridge or Frisco.

New Year's Day. Memorial Day. Independence Day. Labor Day. Thanksgiving Day. Christmas Day.

If a holiday falls on a pick up day, this will delay pick ups by one day for the rest of the week.
