The Garbage Gurus Valet Service is a worry-free option for removing trash, recycling and now food scraps for composting.  Simply transfer your trash, recycling or food scraps to the cart(s), tote(s) or bucket(s) in your garage.  From there, even from behind a closed garage door, Garbage Gurus will dispose of your waste without any other efforts required of you.

 

How does the Garbage Gurus Valet Service work?

Click on Buy Plans and Pricing and "Select" a plan to schedule your service needs online and provide us with details about how to access the garbage cart(s).  Sharing the key code with us to remotely open the garage is the most common method.  If you're wondering, we are bonded and insured.  If you're not comfortable with us entering your garage, that's no problem.  We'll pick up your waste from just outside the garage door or from your front porch according to your preference and instructions.  Next, we add you to the route for the day Garbage Gurus services your area.  A Garbage Gurus handler will drive into your driveway with a small, compacting truck, will gain access to, remove, and empty your trash cart(s), will return the empty cart(s) to its storage position, and will take two pictures, your empty cart(s) and your closed garage door, and will text you a brief message informing you that your pick up has been completed.  It's that simple.  When you schedule a weekly pick up, we will repeat that process over and over again until you tell us to do otherwise.

What are the different valet services offered by Garbage Gurus?

All weekly, biweekly or one-time pick up trash, recycling and composting services that are available as curbside options may be performed with valet service.

Four Frequency Options for Valet Trash & Recycling Services in Summit County:  Weekly, Biweekly, One-Time or Bundled Pick ups.

Three Trash Services for Vacation Homes in Summit County:  Weekly, One-Time or Bundled Pick ups.

1.  Weekly Trash-Removal Service for up to (2) trash cans, 96 gallons.  Extra trash is picked up on a per bag or extra can rate whichever amounts to less.

2.  One-Time Trash-Removal Service

             ***Garbage Gurus may accommodate you with this more expensive on-demand service in between your bookings. However, if you've been instructed or conditioned to think this on-demand service is a must-have when operating a vacation home, this is not true.  While it is a nice touch, it is an unnecessarily high expense for the little value it creates.  The founders of Garbage Gurus have been operating a 4 bedroom/ 3 bathroom, vacation rental home in Breckenridge for the last few years often renting at over $1,000/ night with a standard weekly trash and recycling service without any issues.  Communication and convenience are what is important.  Vacationers simply don't want responsibility when it comes to removal, a.k.a. curbside pickup.  Guests perfectly understand routine trash and recycling removal schedules.  Dropping a closed bag of garbage on top of another bag of garbage and closing the lid takes all of 1 or 2 seconds.  Guests do not care about adding trash to trash or recycling to recycling when they know it will be removed on a set day without their involvement.  Garbage Gurus will provide you with written content to add to your pre-stay emails, flyers to insert into Welcome Books, stickers to clearly labels carts as Trash, Single-Stream Recycling and Glass-Only Recycling, and posters to put near carts and totes to reinforce local guidelines and all of the necessary Garbage Gurus details such as What to Expect and When to Expect It.  If you remain unconvinced and are more comfortable with investing the time, energy and money into coordinating multiple pickups each week, rest assured.  Garbage Gurus will schedule your check-out dates and pick ups into its routes.

3.  Valet Bundles+ service includes weekly trash removal (96 gal.), biweekly single-stream recycling (96 gal.) and biweekly glass-only recycling (14 gal.) at a discounted rate structures.

4. Valet Bundles+ STR services include weekly trash-removal Service up to (2) carts, biweekly, single-stream, recycling service (96 gal.) and biweekly, glass-only recycling service (14 gal.) at a discounted rate structures.

When does Garbage Gurus pick up my trash?

​

Pick up days depend on the area where your property is located.  

 

New service orders must be received by Garbage Gurus before 11:00 a.m. on Friday to be guaranteed to be added to the route for the following week.

When does Garbage Gurus pick up biweekly trash?

​

Biweekly trash service depends on whether or not you also have recycling service.  If you have recycling service in addition to biweekly trash service, both cans will be emptied according to the recycling pick up schedule.  If you have biweekly trash-only service, your pick up weeks follow:
