If you see a pickup scheduled on a holiday, then that holiday does not affect your pickup day.

Service Day vs. Service Time

Garbage Gurus operates on a service day schedule — not a guaranteed pickup time of day.

Our drivers service large geographic areas across Summit County and surrounding mountain communities. The exact time your materials are collected may vary based on weather, traffic, road conditions, safety considerations, and ongoing route optimization as we continue to grow.

To avoid a missed pickup, all trash and recycling must be placed curbside no later than 8:00 a.m. on your scheduled service day unless you are notified otherwise. Additionally, some routes begin service as early as 6:00 a.m. This early start allows us to safely and efficiently complete routes within limited daylight hours, manage traffic impacts, and maintain reliable weekly service.

As a locally owned company, we continually refine routes to provide dependable, affordable service while complying with county regulations and serving our growing customer base.

When does Garbage Gurus pick up my trash?

Pickup days depend on the area where your property is located. In accordance with Summit County Disposal District Regulations, carts should be placed by the curb no earlier than 6:00 a.m. and returned to its normal location by 10:00 p.m.

New service orders must be received by Garbage Gurus before 4:00 p.m. on Thursday to be guaranteed to be added to the route for the following week.

Monday | Frisco, Keystone & Montezuma

Tuesday | Breckenridge (In-town, Boreas Pass, Baldy, Peaks 7, 8 & 9 and surrounding areas)

Wednesday | Blue River, Unincorporated Areas of Summit County South of Breckenridge, Alma & Valley of the Sun North of Fairplay

Thursday | Silverthorne, Dillon & Grand County

Friday | Breckenridge (Wellington Neighborhood to the Highlands & north to the High School)

New Year's Day. Memorial Day. Independence Day. Labor Day. Thanksgiving Day. Christmas Day.

If a holiday falls on a pickup day, this will delay pickups by one day for the rest of the week.

Holiday Pickup Reminders

All trash and recycling services will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week when one of these six major holidays falls on a pick up day earlier in the week:
New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
